How to Wear Your Backpack.
1. Use both straps and the waist strap at all times.
2. Wear the backpack high on and close to your back.
3. Carry only what you need.
4. Put heavy items at the bottom.
5. Bend both knees when you need to lean over – do not bend at the waist.
Remember…
Ø Your backpack should not weigh more than 10-15% of your body weight.
Ø Your backpack needs two W I D E padded straps and a padded back for protection.
Ø A waist strap makes your backpack safer.
Ø The backpack should be very light when empty.
Rolling backpacks can be useful but they are heavy even when empty, can be difficult to roll in snow, and still must be carried up stairs.
